Drive Icon Changer is a small-sized and portable piece of kit designed to help you turn the icons of your hard disk drives into any other image file with the ICO format.

It does not come equipped with complicated features or configuration settings, making it suitable for all types of users, regardless of their previous experience with software utilities.

As there is no installation involved, you can save the executable file to any part of the hard disk and just click it to run. Another option is to move Drive Icon Changer to a USB flash disk or similar storage unit, in order to run it on any computer with minimum effort and no prior installers.

An important aspect worth taking into account is that the Windows registry does not get updated with new entries, and no extra files are created on the HDD, leaving it clean after removal.

The main app window has a neatly organized structure that makes visible all available settings. So, all you have to do is select a drive from a drop-down list, use the file browser to locate a new icon file, and apply the changes with the click of a button. It is necessary to restart Windows Explorer to view results. Restoring the icon to default is just as easily done, by clicking the "Uninstall" button after selecting a drive letter.

Unfortunately, Drive Icon Changer Crack failed in several attempts to replace icons for some drives in our tests, although it did not signal any errors. The fact that it does not mention the supported dimension of the icon file is also an issue. Other than that, this app comes in handy for anyone who wants to tell drives apart easier by using icons of various colors.
